We are creators, marketers, and developers who got tired of watching our YouTube engagement die inside in-app browsers. When a viewer opens a video inside Instagram or TikTok, they cannot subscribe, comment, or turn on notifications. That is a massive leak in the funnel | and we built the fix.
OpenInYoutube was born from a simple idea: every link you share should give your audience the best possible experience. For YouTube, that means opening the video in the native app where viewers are already logged in, ready to engage, and one tap away from subscribing.
Why we built this
We posted a YouTube link in an Instagram story. 2,000 people tapped it. Less than 50 subscribed. The rest were trapped in the in-app browser with no subscribe button, no comment section, and no way to turn on notifications.
That is when we realized the problem was not the content. It was the link. Regular YouTube links open inside Instagram's browser, TikTok's browser, Twitter's browser - and those browsers strip away every feature that makes YouTube worth using.
So we built a dead-simple tool: paste a YouTube URL, get a short link that forces the native app to open. No code. No configuration. No API keys. It just works.

The frustration
